I've spent 12 years building products across startups and enterprise, enough to know that the best design decisions are rarely about design alone. I've worked in founding teams where I was the only designer, and in enterprise where aligning ten stakeholders was part of the job. In both, the most important work happens before a pixel is touched. Understanding what's driving the people in the room, figuring out what to build first, getting something real in front of users fast, and building on what actually works.
